We had a great discussion this week on how we move #SecondChancesInAction this April from launch into coordinated action across states and communities. Our “Table Talk” event for members of the JustUS Coordinating Council featured Ronald Simpson-Bey (Leading with Conviction™ 2015), JustLeadershipUSA Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships; Zach Ruppel (Leading with Conviction™ 2021), JLUSA Policy Analyst; and Stephen Knight, JLUSA Director of Communications.

As part of the discussion, we announced a new partnership with the producers of the award-winning documentary In Their Hands, which is airing on ~100 PBS stations across the country throughout the month of April. JustLeadershipUSA has produced a new “Discussion Guide,” as well as a “How to Host a Viewing Party” document that are both free to download now on the #SecondChancesInAction web page.
If the film is not airing where you live, it will also be available to stream at anytime online at PBS.org, as well as through the PBS app. Stay tuned for more on this exciting opportunity to organize a viewing party and foster dialogue and conversation around the film during Second Chance Month!
