Joint Finance Committee Meeting

The Joint Finance Committee will be traveling around the state with public hearings. This is an opportunity to let them know we don’t want an $8 million investment in MSDF. We want it CLOSED!

We’ve been training for this. Anyone can speak, for two minutes, during the hearing. If you’d like to speak with the CLOSEmsdf crew, show up early (7AM) with us to be among the first signing up. That way we’ll speak before the committee members get tired.

We encourage everyone to speak! Generally, we try to center directly impacted people’s voices, but in this situation, the finance committee will stay until they hear input from EVERYONE, so a wide array of perspectives and people speaking about closing MSDF will only increase the impact.

If you don’t want to speak, show up at 10, wear your CLOSEmsdf tshirt and whenever one of us is testifying we can stand together to demonstrate support.

If you can’t make it until the afternoon, that’s fine too, more presence all day can only aid the cause!
