Crystal Bryant

Ohio

Crystal Bryant is an East Cleveland native. With licenses in law and social work, she is the Director for the Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry.   She began service to the public working as a Drug Court case manager, aiding those who had been charge with a first time drug offense in obtaining a clean and sober life. In 2013 Crystal began work as a Program Officer at Cuyahoga Job and Family Services where she was responsible for community engagement strategies. Prior to her current appointment, she worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Cleveland where she considered herself the “people’s prosecutor,” seeking justice for victims and negotiating plea agreements that were fair. Facing her hugest but most exciting job yet, Crystal now guides the reentry efforts in Cuyahoga County for those returning home from incarceration. Crystal has a passion for serving those involved in the justice system, with the belief that everyone deserves a second chance.

Some of Crystal’s community endeavors include: Advisory Board Member for the Cleveland Young Professional Senate, Community Engagement Chair for the Norman S. Minor Bar Association, Board member for the Greater Cleveland Drug Court, Volunteer for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and Co-Project Director for Cleveland VOTES, which works in partnership with Nonprofit VOTE to support voter engagement activities for local nonprofits.
