Lisa James is a frontline activist and organizer working to amplify issues that impact people who have experienced incarceration and barriers to re-entry. Lisa advocates for the rights of women who experience incarceration, poverty, drug addiction, sexual abuse, homelessness, and separation from their children.  Her incredible work has been recognized by the Liberty Hill Foundation in Los Angeles. She was selected from a highly competitive group of applicants to receive a $15,000 personal development grant to aid in taking her advocacy, leadership and organizing skills to the next level. Lisa is a 2019 Wayfinder Fellow and was awarded $2,500 to support the work she does to make a difference in the community.
