Tamara Springs

Tamara Springs has more than 25 years of educational experience, serving as a classroom teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. In addition, she worked as an adjunct professor at Baker University, teaching Instructional Leadership courses to master’s degree candidates. Later, she worked as a consultant fulfilling many contract roles, including providing live and virtual coaching for school leadership teams with Evans Newton, Inc., and completing a program audit for Gideon’s Promise, an Atlanta based non-profit dedicated to training public defenders. In 2020, Tamara returned to Gideon’s Promise where she held the roles of Program Director and Interim Chief Operating Officer. Currently, Tamara serves as a Training Manager for the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO).

Tamara holds a B.S.. in Elementary Education from Langston University, a M. Ed. in Educational Administration from Wichita State University. She also holds post-graduation certification in District-Level Leadership.

A native of Wichita, Kansas, Tamara currently resides near Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband. Together, they are the proud parents to four adult children and four grandchildren.
