William “Bill” Cobb

William “Bill” Cobb is the former Deputy Director of the ACLU Campaign for Smart Justice. Bill co-led and designed the largest campaign in the organization’s 100-year history; a historic effort aimed at reducing the U.S. prison population by half while combating racial disparities in the criminal justice system. Bill and his team collaborated with ACLU affiliates, reform advocates, impacted communities, philanthropic partners, and volunteers to craft and execute strategic campaigns in all 50 states to combat the primary drivers of mass incarceration. Bill resides in Philadelphia where he serves on the boards of Community Legal Services, Philadelphia Legal Assistance, Defenders Association of Philadelphia (Formerly) and is a trusted adviser to many of the nation’s leaders and influencers. Bill is currently a principal of Cobblestone Solutions, a company that provides strategic solutions for government, for-profit, and non-profit organizations.He attended La Salle University in PA and is a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served honorably during Operation Desert Storm.
