Amber Artis is the Business Operations Manager at JustLeadershipUSA (JLUSA) where she is responsible for managing internal and external business operations including organizational planning, program implementation, finance, and human resources. Previously, Amber held the position of Administrative Associate at JLUSA, where she was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization’s Washington, DC office. Prior to joining JLUSA, Amber served in numerous capacities at the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. She was the Special Assistant to the Acting Assistant Attorney General of the Office Justice Programs. Prior to serving as Special Assistant she was the Justice Programs Council on Native American Affairs Specialist. In that capacity Amber worked with the Council’s Executive Director to develop consistent Tribal justice and safety policy strategies and enhance coordination across the department. Additionally, Amber was as a project coordinator for the Department’s Tribal government-specific grant program. The grant program provided comprehensive funding to American Indian and Alaska Native Tribal governments and Tribal consortia to support public safety, victim services and crime prevention.
