Lea Hunter

Lea Hunter is the Research and Partnerships Coordinator at JustLeadershipUSA where she provides project management for JLUSA’s research initiatives and acts as a liaison between JLUSA’s partners.

With a background in monitoring and evaluation, public and environmental policy, and communications, Lea has worked in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Her work spans advocacy, project management, stakeholder engagement, and research. She has contributed to initiatives ranging from increasing SNAP access to people experiencing food insecurity in her community to managing evaluation portfolios of international development projects.

Lea has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Legislative Affairs, Economics, and Government with a concentration in Politics, Policy, and Law and a Master’s degree in Global Environmental Policy with a concentration in Water, Food, and Agriculture. Her education has led her to a career in advocacy through actionable research that prioritizes systems thinking and community and stakeholder engagement.
