Tom Ochs is a veteran political consultant, communications advisor, and public affairs professional who spent over 30 years in Washington, D.C., including 15 years at his firm, Squier/Knapp/Ochs Communications. Tom has helped create and run successful campaigns for elected officials, non-profit institutions, heads of state, and nongovernmental organizations. His work has taken him to nearly every state in the US and to over 25 countries. A native New Yorker, Tom moved back home in 2011 and was a Senior Advisor at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm where he worked with the firm’s Global Leadership on internal and external communications. In 2016 Tom became a member of JLUSA and began volunteering with the #CLOSErikers campaign. He served on JLUSA’s Board of Directors from 2016-2017 before resigning to join the staff. He is a leader at his Synagogue, Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope, Brooklyn as the Congregation embarks on a new initiative involving race and social justice.
