AdrianVasquez grew up in South Central Los Angeles and currently lives in Carson, California. He is the Intake Specialist/ Job Developer for the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC). In that capacity Adrian helps men and women who were once justice-involved by providing support around their need for housing, employment, mentoring, and counseling. He is also a senior at California State University, Long Beach majoring in Sociology with a minor in Finance. Through his work and his studies, Adrian is an advocate for fair and just policies in the criminal justice system. He is one of the founders of Rising Scholars for those students on campus who were formerly incarcerated. The mission of the organization is to provide a support network for formerly incarcerated students and those directly impacted by incarceration. Adrian’s goal is to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and then to attend law school and become a lawyer. He wants to help those who like him experienced imprisonment by providing effective and meaningful legal representation.
