JustLeadershipUSA Named as a Finalist for the 2022 .ORG Impact Awards

PRESS RELEASE — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 20, 2022

JustLeadershipUSA (JLUSA) is pleased to announce that we have been selected as a finalist in the 4th annual .ORG Impact Awards, which honors and celebrates inspiring mission-driven organizations and leaders from around the globe who are creating a positive impact in their communities. The awards are hosted by Public Interest Registry (PIR).

JLUSA is one of the top five entries in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion category for our work amplifying the power of directly impacted people across the country by investing, educating, empowering, and elevating their voices, so they have the tools and resources to self-organize and advocate for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Over 900 submissions were reviewed and scored by a panel of judges who are leaders in the Internet, non-profit, and marketing sectors. All nominations were required to be tied to an active website with a .ORG domain.

“It is a real honor to be recognized this year by PIR for the work JustLeadershipUSA is doing to amplify the voices and experiences of all those directly impacted by the criminal legal system in this country,” said DeAnna Hoskins, President and CEO of JLUSA. “We are grateful to be recognized among so many other organizations doing powerful and positive work all over the world.”

“The 2022 .ORG Impact Awards finalists represent the best of humanity. They are devoted to addressing the most critical issues facing society today,” said Jon Nevett, President and CEO of PIR. “We received a record number of submissions from across the world. We are thrilled to have the privilege of recognizing some of today’s most inspiring champions for change—those who are working to increase access to healthcare and education, championing diversity, supporting those in poverty, tackling climate change, and much more. The work of these organizations illustrates the power of those who have committed to creating a more healthy, equitable, and sustainable world for all.”

This year’s finalists and winners will be celebrated as part of the .ORG Impact Awards celebration on November 15th. Follow @PIRegistry and @ORGinAction on social media to find out more about the nominees and the life-changing work happening every day in the .ORG Community.
