Erika Girard

Erika Girard has over 25 years of work experience with the University of Michigan, Michigan Medicine Health System, primarily in supervision and management roles. She holds degrees in Accounting and Business Management & Organizational Development.

She previously served as the Executive Office Manager at Prison Legal Services of Michigan, Inc., alongside Sandra L. Bailiff Girard, the Executive Director and lead attorney in a class action lawsuit against the Michigan Department of Corrections advocating for prisoners’ rights.

Erika is passionate about criminal justice reform. At JustLeadershipUSA, she has held various roles, including Leadership Alumni Coordinator and Leadership Events & Logistics Coordinator. Currently, she serves as the Director of Leadership Training & Logistics.

Erika is a proud mother of four children, a bonus son, and grandmother to six grandchildren, affectionately called Mimi. Her interests include sports, cooking, crafting, sewing, riding her motorcycle, and spending time with her family.
