“Several Louisville organizations, including the Buddhist Justice Collective, held a vigil Tuesday evening [January 10] to silently protest the death of the 13th [person incarcerated] at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections in a span of 14 months and the lack of care from the jail towards [incarcerated people].”
Leading with Conviction 2023 cohort member Savvy Shabazz and other concerned community members held a vigil across from the jail to mourn and protest the death of Mr. Puckett who died in their care.
